Looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support the finance team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in accounting while working in a dynamic marketing environment. The Junior Accountant will assist with daily accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and support the month-end close process.
This is a hybrid role, offering a combination of in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation and posting of journal entries
- Support monthly and year-end close processes
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist with expense reporting and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Help prepare financial reports and internal schedules
- Support audits by gathering documentation and performing basic analysis
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate billing and expense tracking
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or in progress)
- 1-2 years of accounting or relevant internship experience
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and U.S. GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or experience in marketing, media, or professional services industries
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero)
- Exposure to project-based accounting or client billing
